I had to create a self portrait from magazine pieces for this project. It was a whole lot of layers, tiny pieces of paper, and glue. It was a messy situation. It was interesting trying to find the right tones for skin and facial features, as well as shadows, just from magazines. I used pretty small pieces and they were different shapes, some real and some organic. I really like how this project turned out in the end, as time consuming as it may have been.
